Before we begin this interaction, I expect that every officer present operates according to the legal and ethical standards set forth in the UN “Code of Conduct for Law Enforcement Officials” and without violating constitutional rights. I do not surrender any rights nor waive their protections. I expect all officers present understand their responsibility to de-escalate, and will not willfully disregard this responsibility.
